This morning we ground another big pile of hay. It has been 6 weeks since the last time we did this project. Norman Strehlow with Strehlow Hay Grinding came out and it went as smooth as it could. The wind did increase throughout the hour and half but luckily it was blowing away from us. We used wheat, good grass/alfalfa hay and CRP(low quality hay). It is a good way to mix the hay and then when we add the chopped hay in the feed wagon with corn, silage, distillers the cattle love the mixture. |

5-31-2022 Today was cool and windy. The sun finally broke through in the afternoon and the wind stopped about dark. We did have a very productive cattle day.
